Test Methods
Here is some information about some of our various test methods:
Method 30B RATA Testing 30B folder
APT analysts routinely perrform on-site vapor-phase mercury testing using an Ohio Lumex analyzer. This instrument allows on-site, near real-time results for immediate assessment of mercury emissions and CEMS performance.
Method 29 and Ontario Hydro Testing
If isokinetic sampling and/or specieated mercury results are required, the APT laboratory facility in Arvada, Colorado is equipped with a perkin Elmer CVAAS for rapid in-house results. Quality assured data can be provided in as little as 72 hours. Our analysts regularly analyze third party audit samples to ensure accuracy.
'Fast Flow' Multiple-Crew Flow Testing
APT test teams routinely perform "fast-flow" testing, with up to four test crews conducting Method 2F 3-dimensional flow testing on the same stack simultaneously. With on crew per test port, the total time per traverse is easily reduced to the 5-minute minimum allowed by 40 CFR 75. This greately reduces the costly time spent at reduced loads.
Gaseous Pollutant / Diluent Testing
With state-of-the-art instrumentation APT test teams have performed many hundreds of RATAs. Our direct extractive or dilution extractive systems meet all applicable performance criteria to provide quality assured, on-site results.
